If you’ve been paying attention to the many items up for grabs at the 2024 Speed On The Water Key West Bash we’ve been sharing this past week, you know the list is impressive and varied. And thanks to the Wentzville, Mo.-based team at MTI, which has supported the auction and the event considerably since we took it to the streets in 2019, the list is even more enticing, particularly for fans of the catamaran and center console builder and its race-bred heritage.

MTI is going to load up this custom YETI with goodies for the winning bidder at next week’s Speed On The Water Key West Bash auction.

That’s no surprise considering the supportive Scism family behind MTI that always comes up with something unique for us to auction to benefit our charity, Key West-based Samuel’s House. This year, MTI vice president Taylor Scism put together yet another cool package that is going to be up for grabs on Thursday, November 7 at Pickles Pub’s Sandbar on Greene Street. Presented by Parallel Project, the fun runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and will include food (courtesy of Wozencraft Marine Insurance), drinks (inside and out), a live auction and several boats on display, including the GC Racing 39-foot MTI that is competing in the 450R Factory Stock class during the Race World Offshore-produced Key West World Championships.

On top of a rolling, SeaDek-topped, custom-wrapped YETI cooler filled with MTI swag, the company is adding a “Race Village Visit with MTI” experience for this year’s Key West Worlds that will be determined between the auction winner and the MTI racing crew. Longtime MTI photographer Tom Leigh of Tommy Gun Images also is donating an MTI-specific 24” x 36” acrylic print of the winner’s choosing that will be shipped to the winner.

An artistic MTI photograph like this one from Tom Leigh can be yours as part of the MTI Key West Bash auction item.

That’s quite a package; thank you MTI. We know the faithful—whether they’re in town for the races or as part of the Florida Powerboat Club’s Key West Poker Run—will be on hand to bid this one up in the name of charity.
